Lemon Ginger Turmeric Tea

Ingredients (serves 1)

1 teaspoon fresh grated turmeric root (or 0.5 teaspoon turmeric powder)
1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger root (or 0.5 teaspoon ginger powder)
2–3 twists black pepper (to make the turmeric more bio-available)
Juice of half a lemon
1–2 teaspoons raw honey (optional)
1.5 cups filtered water

In a saucepan, combine ginger, turmeric and water. Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. Make sure the mixture does not boil.
